What is a Target Set?

A "target set" a collection of ping targets and proxies.  The main page of this application shows your current set, which is usually the default set and is named "Targets".  Your current target set is always saved automatically whenever you discontinue using the application.

ProbeView remembers which target set you were last viewing and reloads that set if the application is closed or your phone is restarted.

You can save a set at any time and load it again later.  For example, you may find that you must configure your proxies differently in different locations, such as in the office or outside using 3G or LTE (cellular data).  You can create different collections and load them when you need to.

Saving a Set

To save the current set of targets and proxies, give the set a name and tap the "Save" button.

Loading a Set

The table view at the bottom of the page shows the target sets that are available for loading.  The current target set (usually the default one named "Targets") is in gray text.  When you select a target set name, the Save button will become enabled and you can tap the Save button to load the set.

The main page will show the name of the current target set if it is not the default set called "Targets".
