Using Details View

The "Details" view is primarily for importing and exporting target sets.  It can also be used to provide debugging information to our support site.

Menu Options

The menu button in the toolbar lets you choose among the following options:

You can enable edit to type directly into the target set data.

"Copy" copies the contents of the view into the iPhone's "pasteboard" or clipboard.  You can then paste the results into an email message, for example.

"Paste" replaces contents of the view with the current contents of the iPhone's pasteboard.

"Copy Logs" places a textual copy of the log records onto the pasteboard.

"Load as Target Set" causes ProbeView to analyse and parse the view's contents as a target set.  Any errors are reported.  If no error is found, the data becomes the current target set.

Viewing Target Set

The textual data shown in the main view is the XML document describing the currently loaded target set.

Importing and Exporting Target Sets

You can use "Copy", "Paste" and "Load as Target Set" to copy target sets between iPhones and other iOS devices.

Saving Log Data

"Copy Logs" puts a comma-separate set of lines onto the pasteboard. These can then be email to other systems for later analysis.
